Why do I bother???

This is what I found when I walked into the kids bathroom this morning! I just cleaned it yesterday, can you tell? The only thing on the counter was the soap. And what gets me is there are 3 tubes of toothpaste and 4 toothbrushes out on the counter, so not one of the kids put theirs away.
I guess I should just be glad that they
brushed their teeth.
I made these with the little ones I watch during the day. Cute and pretty easy. I just bought little pumpkins and let them have fun with the paint. Then I drew the faces.

We went to the FAIR- I did not get many pictures before my batteries gave up. :-((

Daniel did not really want to ride this one,
but Saige wanted him to go with her.

WHEE!

Saige was the only one brave enough to ride the swings. She rode EVERY ride that she could that her brothers went on. She wasn't tall enough for one that turns you all around and upside down and she got mad when they would not let her on. The girl has NO FEAR!

We all had a great time for very
little money. Working at the
Fair has it's perks!

I wanted to thank Marni for setting up my new blog page. She said the picture just looked like how our family was. Thanks??? Well, despite me in the picture, I think she did a great job. She's so creative.
See why I should stop trying. I thought I was being sneeky, but he beat me to it covering his face. He is going to think I never liked him as a child, because he is the one I have no pictures of. (It's Marc all over again. When we were little I always remember Marc hiding his face to avoid pictures. Actually he still does it to some degree)

I finally have a craft for Marni! This is what we did today. It is just a paper lunch sack with newspaper stuffed lightly inside and tied at the top with a rubber band. Then I let the kids paint and I had cut out faces andthey glued on the pieces. Kinda cheesy, but they were proud of their pumpkins. HAPPY HALLOWEEN.

Well, I have given in to the Twilight madness!! I am working the fair selling tickets in a stupid little booth on the weekends. So, sometimes a good amount of time will pass just sitting there. You can only watch the rides go around so long. On Saturday morning I asked Colin where his Twilight book was. He looked alittle shocked because I had told him a while ago, "I am not reading any book about vampires!" Well, I managed to get half way thru it on Saturday and read the rest of it yesterday. I had alot of extra time on my hands stuck in the booth. Get paid to read--that's what I'm talking about! :)) What a great book!! I am now excited to see the movie, and put some faces with the characters. I never read books, yet alone in 2 days. I hated having to stop when I got customers :) I am now starting the 2nd one and am excited about what will happen next. It was really funny, I would have the book on my desk and almost everyone that would come up would say "That is a great book." The girl I was working with said "Man, has EVERYONE read that book?" I just laughed and said "Just about!"

Marni had this great idea on her blog. Well, I
copied it, and the kids loved making them.
Thanks Marni!

For those of you who love Olive Garden like I do, you
may recognize this soup. I found a recipe on the
internet for the Zuppa Toscana soup that Olive
Garden has. I think next time I will rinse the sausage
before I add it back in, but it turned out so yummy.
I even made breadsticks to go with it.
I don't know what got into me yesterday.

At the park today...
They had alot of fun riding the wagon down the hill

And rolling down the hill

And the street sweeper we saw was a highlight!

Daniel sure loves
playing football. (even with his sister - maybe
that is so he can tackle her and not get yelled at.)

Some of you may notice that I don't have alot of pictures of Colin on my blog. When I try and take pictures of him, this is what I get. He is always hiding from the camera. One day I will catch him.

Saige wanted to go in the sprinkler yesterday.
She didn't stay on the trampoline very long
because the water quickly made her cold.
I love the nicer weather, but one of the kids
favorite things to do is jump on the trampoline
with the sprinkler.

Look at those curls! What a handsome kid!

Daniel would not give up. Tyler kept saying "Tap out, tap out" but Daniel being the stubborn boy he is, just kept fighting.

And, look at who ended up on top. I think Tyler gave in after he realized Daniel wasn't giving up. :) I think they were both wore out after this. This little fight in my living room went on for 20 minutes. OH, THE JOYS OF BOYS!!

Before and after Saige's haircut

Saige loves to make cards and scrapbook, but with the
hair hangin in her eyes, it wasn't working to well.
She really wanted to grow out her bangs, but
never wanted to wear pretty's to hold her bangs out
of her eyes. So, after much discussion with Jason,
Saige and I went and got it cut. She can finally see
and I don't have to fight her every morning to comb
the tangles out. She combs it herself now and does an
OK job because the back is alittle shorter as well. We
are both happy. Jason is adjusting. He thinks girls
should have long hair, but I won't get off on that tangent!!
