Saige's new doo

I had finally had enough of the fight in the mornings! Yesterday Saige went to school with her hair not looking quite right. She refused to let me comb it because she already did. She was running late and I frankly wasn't in the mood to argue with her and get us both upset. So, last night while I was cutting the boys hair I got the scissors and cut hers also. Much better! This morning we combed it and she even let me put a few curls in it. I always wanted a daughter with long hair that I could french braid and do other things with, but such is life. At least she left for school this morning with a smile on her face and her hair looking decent.

My baby is all grown up...

I can't even describe the feeling in the room. Happy, proud, scared and yes, there were even tears. I am so proud of Tyler for making this decision and know that he will be a great soldier in the Army. He will go to Basic Training this summer. His MOS that he picked is a light wheeled mechanic and he is excited about that. It still doesn't seem real to me... He was supposed to be sworn in at 1:00 and because of all the events going on downtown, parking was impossible. It didn't help that we weren't exactly sure where we were going either. :) It was quite the experience just getting there. Since it was almost one o'clock I had Jason drop me off. I went in and asked if they could wait for everyone else to get there. They pulled Tyler out of the room with the other boys and when everyone else got there they ended up doing a special session for just Tyler. It was awesome! Mom- thanks for taking some great pictures!

What a MESS. I mean...what a great FORT!

This is what my backyard looks like at the moment! The kids took every toy possible, including the ones out of the playhouse and made a fort right in the middle of the backyard. They ate snack in their fort and had such a great time. I know I will have some arguements when I tell them it's time to clean up and that I want the backyard back.
We had gone over to my mom's on Christmas day and this dog ended up in my moms yard. The kids immediately started with "Can we keep it?" "Please mom, this would be our BEST Christmas ever!" Keep in mind I am NOT a dog lover and am allergic to them. I told them it belonged to someone and it wasn't right to take it. Jason, who was as bad as the kids said that we would watch for signs and take the dog and see if it had a chip in it. I just knew that someone would claim that dog, so because it was Christmas day, despite my better judgement I agreed. Oh, how I wish it would have been any other day! So, this is our new dog, Jack.

Saige's 100 project

Saige had to do a project of 100 things for school. I can't believe that it's almost been 100 days of school already. Anyway, we did 100 pictures of her brothers, cousins, and her. I just did calendars for Jason's mom and my mom for Christmas and had alot of pictures left over. I think I got the original idea from Marni a couple years ago. She is pretty proud of it and can't wait to take it to school today.

Great deal I got

I went to Walgreens last night and got all of this for $14.00. I had 4 buy one get one free coupons for Oust which made both of them free so I got 8 cans of Oust for FREE, Aqua Fresh was .99 after Walgreens coupons and I had manufacturer coupons so I got 3 tubes of toothpaste for .50 cents, and the other cleaning stuff is buy one get one free and I had coupons for those also. I then had a $5.00 Register Reward so all together I only spent $14.00. I think I got a great deal.

The mom song

THIS IS SO FUNNY! I SAY MOST OF THESE THINGS AT LEAST A COUPLE OF TIMES A DAY! BE SURE AND HAVE YOUR SOUND UP. :)
